From 1988 to 1990 he studied Philosophy at the State University of Milan. In 1991 he moved to London where he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and advertising agencies including Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Young & Rubicam and BBDO. Since 1998 he has been working as a director of music videos for artists such as Natalie Imbruglia, Spice Girls, Skunk Anansie, Kelis, Bush, Keane, Ms Dynamite and several others. In the same period, he has also directed several commercials obtaining international recognitions and awards. Capotondi has been living in Barcelona since 2004.
