‘Cinema lesson’ is a special occasion for the Festival audience to meet with our guests. During those meetings the artists tell about their fascinations with art in general, about seeking inspiration, about their mentors and masters, and finally about sins they’ve committed on their artistic paths. The outcome of each meeting is an interesting portrait of the artists and a vivid discussion about values, views and the role of art in everyday life.

Below are the names of artists who accepted our invitation to the section this year:

Jan Hrebejk – a Czech director and screenwriter, whose latest film Kawasaki’s Rose will have its Polish premiere during the final evening of TWO RIVERSIDES Festival .

Filip Bajon –a prose writer, screenwriter, filmmaker and stage director, a professor and dean of the Directing Department at Łódź Film School. Cooperated with Warsaw Drama Theatre and Krakow Old Theatre. He also directed some of the plays staged for TV Theatre.

Krzysztof Zanussi – one of the most distinguished Polish film directors, professor, stage director, screenwriter, artistic manager and producer; author of ‘On editing an amateur film’ and ‘Discourse on an amateur film’, a member of European Film Academy awarding Felix Awards.

Since 2009 each ‘Cinema lesson‘ is recorded and in this way we create TWO RIVERSIDES Festival archive. Our guests in this section were: Bob Rafelson, Bruno Barreto, Sławomir Grünberg, Wojciech Marczewski, Andrzej Titkow, Jerzy Stuhr, Sławomir  Idziak, Piotr Szulkin.
