The exhibition „Reporters from the Film School in Lodz” has emerged as the need of the moment. We have preserved on photos the moments that were important to us – in belief that the way we touch the world will be met with some response – will give rise to debate.

I have been conducting reportage workshop for 18 years now. The exhibited works are only a small part of our activities. I hope that these photos will become an original document of events the author witnessed, and will give rise to reflections on time…

Our authors – students and graduates, performing a complex form of artistic statement, presented not only photographic skills, but also holistic approach to artistic activity.

The reportage and press photographers play an important role in the media. Irrespective of the technological progress, they will still constitute a foundation of understanding of the man and the world around him. I believe that our students will live up to this challenge.
