Architect 1964, full professor, head of the department, facility and workshop /Sacred and Monumental Architecture/ on the Faculty of Architecture of Warsaw University of Technology.
2. Marek Mazanowski – profesor UMCS
“I would like to say a few words about the exhibition of my works: I think that it is a special moment in “a painting’s life”. On one’s own exhibition, a picture hangs on the wall for a few weeks, but then it is sent to the world and has to “speak” for itself and its author on its own. I paint each picture, bearing that in mind. Each of them is a separate story, separate statement. It is temporary that now they hang on the wall next to one another so please, do not give their arrangement or interaction that appears between them any special meaning.”
Marek Mazanowski
Marek Mazanowski (1955)
He was studying at MCSU on the faculty which at that time was called Artistic Education in the Institute of Artistic Education. He got his diploma in painting in spring, 1979. He has been working at MCSU since 1984. He mainly paints, but also draws, takes photographs and does graphics.

Born in Tarnobrzeg. In 2007 he was admitted as a student on studies in College of Fine Arts in Kazimierz Dolny on a department of graphic arts. Three years later he got his B.A. with distinction. In the future he plans to devote himself to animation, still developing his passion for painting.
“Images of emotions” is a series of five works presenting portraits, in which emotions which combine many extremes are expressed, emotions that are impossible to be defined unambiguously. These works describe emotions with grimaces, de formation and colour compositions, contradicting realism, at the same time referring to human being and his feelings.

Jakub Terlecki
dean’s award (film “The Gift”)
Graduate of Bernard Mirando National High School of Fine Arts in Zamość (2003–2007). Awarded distinction for the best diploma in speciality of Visual Advertisement – work under guidance of Paweł Malczenko, titled „Project of online computer art gallery” – a series of six works (100×70 cm) plus project of an online gallery website. Graduate of the Faculty of Arts at MCSU in Lublin – College of Fine Arts in Kazimierz Dolny (Graphic Arts) – speciality Graphic Design (2007–2010). Diploma titled ”The Gift” in workshop of second degree of Romuald Kołodziej. The work was awarded distinction for the best diploma and Dean’s Award.
„The Gift” is a short animation, directed wholly in 3D animation technique. The main aim of the film is a metaphoric presentation of receiving the gift and emphasizing how important the protagonist’s awareness of receiving and using or losing it is. The film wants to show a very common phenomenon, namely redefinition of some things and not appreciating what we already have…life.
Ida Nowosielska (1985)
dean’s distinction (film)
In 2007 she began her studies at College of Fine Arts in Kazimierz Dolny. During her studies, she participated in a group exhibition „Intermedia Artistic Accidents – 8th edition” in Forum Młodej Sztuki in Galeria Biała in Lublin, during which she showed her experimental film, titled “Amnesia”.
In 2010, she got her B.A. diploma with distinction in College of Fine Arts in Kazimierz Dolny.
Since the second year of her studies, she has been drawing mainly self-portraits in sepia on wrapping paper, which was a point of departure for creating artistic diploma “Moods”. It is a series of 32 self-portraits in four series corresponding with personality types, defined by Hippocrates. Those drawings became a basis for animation. The animation is presented in a form of a loop in order to emphasize constant changing of moods. The main problem of that work is a scope and a possibility of observation – on the one hand, the willingness to precisely and objectively reconstruct reality, on the other – the subjectivity of perspective, resulting also from being at the same time the subject and object of the work. Self-portraits are drawn from nature, without the use of a camera.
Anna Zygadło
dean’s distinction (film “Dream”)
Black-and-white stop motion animation inspired by a few dreams, combined with one another into one whole and inspired by David Lynch’s “Eraserhead”. It makes references to surrealism: depart from rationalism, rules of logic, atmosphere of dream, fantasy, nonsense, absurdity. Symbols that appear in the animation can be interpreted freely, as the work does not have a top-down defined message.
4. Andrzej Szargan “Painted by mouse – FRACTALBAND”
Andrzej Szargan (1953)
Finished chemistry and knowledge of culture at university. A journalist by profession, a photographer by avocation. Self-taught computer graphic designer. As he says, if he were born a few years later, he would be a hacker. He released his own two multimedia albums on DVD: „Zamoyscy Museum in Kozłówka” and „Trinity Chapel” in Lublin Castle. Both of them are in Polish and English language version with well-chosen background music. His experiments with fractals resulted in an exhibition in Olimp Gallery in Lublin and establishing cooperation with a few workshops of interior design and „Komandor”.
5. Festival’s posters 2010
Barwalipen – Polish Gypsy – photograms
Barwalipen – Polish Gypsy
“Barwalipen” in Gypsy language means rich life, but it is also a photography project, being realized for a few years by Michał Kaczkowski. Photos present life of Polish Gypsies. The creator of the exhibition, due to support of Jarosław Orłowski – originator of The Festival of Gypsy Culture in Ciechocinek, had a possibility to be a part of life of Gypsy aristocracy: barons, kings and artists, such as Don Wasyl. He took photographs, among others, the house of Henryk Kozłowski, the head of Gypsies in Poland, the king of Polish Gypsies, who approved of the project of showing Gypsy community from a completely different perspective than it was till now.
