The mayor of Osadné, Mr. Ladislav Mikuláško, is a political record-holder. He has held the position of the village boss for a respectful thirty-six years. His spiritual counterpart is the Greek Orthodox priest, Peter Soroka. The mayor and priest have decided to fight for the survival of the village. They know that the village’s future could lie in tourism and ask the PR manager of the Ruthenian Revival Movement, Fedor Vico, to help them in promotion of the village. This politician, manages to draw a visitor from the highest level in Brussels to Osadné. Member of the European Parliament Milan Gaľa is touched by the situation in the village and he invites the local politicians to Brussels.

 

“Osadné” is a film about an encounter between current top European leaders and the local politicians from the last village on the edge of the European Union.
