Who we are

Grażyna Torbicka- a graduate from the Department of Theatre Education at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw (Master of Arts), a film critic, television journalist cooperating with Polish Channel 2 (TVP 2) since 1987 and the author of many TV programmes and reportages.

Since 1996 she’s been hosting a well-known TV programme on Channel 2 called ‘I LOVE CINEMA’. Among her guests were Andrzej Wajda, Agnieszka Holland, Krzysztof Zanussi, Janusz Gajos, Woody Allen, Milos Forman, Michelangelo Antonioni, Roger Moore, Russell Crowe, Mickey Rourke, Sophia Loren, Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman, Stephen Frears, Luc Besson, the Coen brothers, Nikita Michałkow, Otar Iosseliani, Gus Van Sant and many others. She was a member of the jury during festivals in Berlin and Cannes, a press conferences moderator at the International Film Festival in Venice where she was also the master of the Mostra Cinematografica di Venezia award ceremony. For many years she hosted evening programmes during Taormina Film Festival in Sicily. She is often invited to host prestigious concerts and gala evenings.

She received many awards, e.g. eight Wiktor awards, including the Audience Award and the Honorary Super Wiktor Award. She was acknowledged with three Telekamera Awards and a Gold Telekamera. Decorated with the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis”, awarded by the Polish Minister of Culture, and in 2008 with Stella Della Solidarieta Italiana Award (Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity), given by the President of Italy for promoting Italian culture.

Since 2007 she is the Artistic Director of Film and Art Festival TWO RIVERSIDES in Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec by the Vistula River.
