She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Sarajevo (theater and film directing). “On the Path” is Jasmila Žbanić’s second feature film. Her feature debut “Grbavica” won the 2006 Berlinale Golden Bear (as well as the Ecumenical Award and the Peace Prize), the AFI (American Film Institute) Fest Grand Jury Prize and the Grand Prix Odyssey of the European Council for Human Rights. Jasmila’s early films and video works have been displayed in dozens of art exhibitions worldwide.
